Elder

Jonathan Davis

Jonathan (JD) lives in Jacksonville, NC with his wife, Jennifer, and five kids Cody, Keegan, Kale, Chloe, and Kinsley. JD has been a leader in the Pillar network since it began in 2005.

The Davis family have had the privilege of being a part of five church plants since that time, three of them from their inception. JD has a passion for pastoral ministry, leadership development, and various discipleship ministries. The Davis’ are excited to be a part of Pillar Jax and look forward to serving the Jacksonville community.

Elder

Brian O’Day

Brian lives in Jacksonville with his wife, Kelli, and five children: Dani, Kristlyn, Trey, Nate, and Ameena. Brian served for nearly 10 years as an active duty Marine that included deployments to fifteen countries including Iraq and Afghanistan. While stationed in Quantico, VA in 2010 and attending Pillar Church in Dumfries, VA, Brian was called to plant Pillar Church Jacksonville. While serving on active duty, Brian led many Bible studies in a variety of local churches and would often start Bible studies in his workplace from an office setting in Fort Sill, OK to Forward Operating Base (FOB) Zeebrugge in Afghanistan. Pillar Church Jacksonville began in Brian and Kelli’s home on January 6, 2013. Brian is currently completing a Masters of Divinity Degree concentrating in Biblical Counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forrest, NC. He has a passion for preaching God’s Word, discipling men, and counseling marriages.

Joshua Brown

Joshua lives in Richlands, NC with his wife, Brittany, and their three children, Tatum, Elyssa, and Titus. He is currently serving as an active duty Marine on Camp Lejeune. While stationed in California in 2004, Joshua was saved and his Christian journey began. He has been stationed in many locations, always plugging in and leading small groups, serving as a layman, and at times, as a deacon. Pillar Church became his church home in July of 2017, where he felt the Lord calling him to step into a new church leadership role. Joshua has a passion for Bible history, community, and hospitality. He desires to serve Christ and the Church well by teaching and sharing the good news of Christ wherever God plants him.

Clayton & Corrie Scott

Clayton and Corrie live in Jacksonville with their three children, Eli, Thea, and Calvin. Clayton is an active duty Marine, and Corrie is a full time homemaker. Clayton grew up in several states on the east coast, while Corrie was an Army brat and moved 13 times before high school. God brought them together in Maryland during high school and they got married after college. Both of them grew up in the church and have continued their walk in faith and growth through marriage, kids, and work. They are grateful for the opportunity to love and serve this church family.

Chris & Elyse Miller

Chris and Elyse Miller currently live in Richlands, NC with their two children, Henry and Ayla. Chris is from Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Elyse is a Navy brat, but claims Virginia as home. They met on a backpacking trip in the Appalachian mountains in 2015 and married a year later. Chris is currently serving as an active duty Marine, and Elyse is a full-time stay-at-home mom. Chris and Elyse both grew up in the church and have a heart to serve the church body in whatever capacity. Having children of their own has given them a heart for loving on children and sharing with them the truth of the Gospel. They are excited to be able to serve the church body at Pillar through the childcare ministry.

Jason & Chloe Reep

Jason & Chloe Reep live in Sneads Ferry where they pray to soon welcome home their baby boy, Ezra. Jason is an active duty marine and Chloe is a full-time homemaker. Both hail from Ohio, and it was there that they met in high school, started dating in college, and got married shortly after graduation. They both come from families who were faithfully involved in their respective church bodies and are so thankful for this opportunity to do so themselves. Getting to specifically work and serve in Childcare Ministry has been an extra special way to exercise their love of children and the nurturing of young hearts.

Oceanside Church Planter

Jonathan Ransom

Jon lives in Okinawa, Japan with his wife, Linnea, and his daughter Emma. Jon served as an active duty Marine from 1998-2003 including deployments to Japan and Saudi Arabia. After supporting the initial invasion of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Jon separated from the Marine Corps and moved to New York where he attended Bible College and Seminary while serving on staff at Faith Bible Church. In February 2013, Jon and Linnea moved to Jacksonville to serve at Pillar Jax in preparation for planting a new church. Jon has a passion for expositional preaching and discipling men. Jon and his family moved to California in February 2014 to plant Pillar Church Oceanside (www.PillarOceanside.com) They are currently serving at Pillar Church in Okinawa, Japan.

Kaneohe Bay Church Planter

Johnny Griffith

Johnny moved to Jacksonville in June 2014 with his wife, Robbin, and his two children Pacey and Thad. Johnny was an active duty Marine from February 1994 until December 1999 when he was medically retired. Since his military service he has served as a youth director, associate/youth pastor and senior pastor. He has also completed a Master of Arts Degree in Leadership from Luther Rice University and Seminary. Johnny and his family moved to the island of Oahu, Hawaii in Summer of 2015 to plant Pillar Church of Kaneohe Bay.
